Father James writes:
We rounded off our days in the diocese today in grand style. Our host diocese-the Archdiocese of Warsaw was great and the volunteers did marvelously well. Their hospitality and kindness made all of us feel like the World Youth Day ends in Warsaw. Had to take some pictures with them.
Last Friday 22/07/2016 was a significant day, we visited St Maximilian Kolbe's community and I was privileged to be the chief celebrant and the homilist at the original chapel founded by him. I prayed for you all and Fr. Max! During my reflection I juxtaposed St. Maximilian's sacrifice and that of Christ. He offered himself for the sake of others as Christ did; He was starved to die yet he could not, after two weeks they injected him to death as the soldiers used arrow to pierce the side of Christ. I saw in St. Max the person of Christ and asked all to imitate same action in our daily lives. Tomorrow we move to Krakow to join with the rest of the world for the official World Youth Day programs. I hope you all are well and happy. My prayers for you! Do have a very cheerful week! Some pictures to keep the eyes busy. Every blessings! Fr. James A. |
